                                ‘Big Dorsal’ is a large flower with most of the dorsal being white with a green

                                centre.  Labellum and petals are green.  The flowers lack substance.  ‘Green Gloss’

                                is an apple green colour with a faint white border around the dorsal.  Expect

                                wonderful green standards with some having a white edge on the dorsal.

 

Ezi 820                 (Elfstone x Sheila Hanes) 'Green Gloss' x Alex Szabo 'Polly'                                                   E,FS          $15.00,$25.00

                                ‘Green Gloss’ is a green standard type which is green all over except for  a

                                slight white edge around the dorsal.  Crossed with ‘Polly’ which is a combination

                                of colours being mainly green but has a brown overlay on the petals and a broad

                                dark brown through the centre of the dorsal.  Expect standards that are green with

                                a brown band in the dorsal.

                                Stone Lovely is a large green flower with a dorsal having a border of white.

                                Petals are broad, flower is round and full.  Standard type.  Emerald Magic is

                                also a green standard type with great green colour and full shape.

                                Expect top exhibition greens standards.

                                Standard type, green with brown banding through the centre of the dorsal.

                                Also brown on the petals and the labellum.

                                Registered as Enchanted Orient.

                                Expect some big, bold, maroon spots on a greenish background dorsal.

                                henryanum hybrids are always eye catching with the pink/purple labellums.

                                Parvisepalum type.  Flowers can get up to 10cm in size.  Petals are the pre-

                                dominant feature of the flower.  Usually are light apple green with rich

                                burgundy veins.  Labellum is white with burgundy spots.

                                Parvisepalum type.  50% armeniacum, 25% malipoense and

                                25%  micranthum.  More yellow form of Fanaticum.

                                Parvisepalum type.  50% malipoense, 25% micranthum and 25%

                                armeniacum.  By introducing more Paph malipoense, the flower will be more

                                green and have a taller stem and also a chance of it being longer.

                                Fanaticum is micranthum and malipoense.  Norito Hasegawa is

                                armeniacum with malipoense.  Tall stems due to the malipoense influence.

                                Slightly less yellow colour with some having a pink overlay.

                                Registered as Krull's Lace.

                                Parvisepalum type crossed with multi floral.  Flowers similar to

                                Harold Koopowitz.  They can get up to 20cm in size and 2 to 3 flowers

                                on a raceme.  Flowers are green with petals and sepals veined with mahogany.

                                Amanda x Sioux registered as Sioux Child.

                                Flashdance has a background of Orchilla and Flasher.  ‘Vini Wow’ is a standard

                                type with a Maudiae type.  Crossed with red standard to produce dark red, glossy

                                standard type flowers.

                                Paph randsii hybrids are rarely offered.  In Gemstone’s Randschild expect up

                                to 5 flowers on a raceme.  Flowers up to 10cm wide and petals 12cm long.

                                Cream coloured flowers with mahogany stripes.

                                Gigi x charlesworthii registered as Charlie's Girl.

                                Expect the typical charlesworthii type, red dorsal on standard type

                                flowers.  Dorsals will be large and round.  ‘Norfolk’ is a little small

                                but makes up for it in colour.  Dorsal is white with a mulberry red centre

                                with radiating lines.  Petals are green overlaid in red with bronze petals.

                                This is a very desirable multi floral.  Flowers are large in size up to 15cm.

                                A very attractive bright yellow bloom that is progressive with up to

                                four flowers on a raceme.  Normally has two flowers open at a time.

                                The album form of armeniacum is used here to produce a pure

                                yellow flower without the red markings in the template.

                                Goultenianum has Paph callosum and Paph curtisii genes.  Paph Silmaril

                                is Oriental Mystique with Alma Gavaert with 60% influence from

                                Paph lawrenceanum and 20% Paph callosum.  A cross for alba flowering

                                Greenshank has a green dorsal with a white edge and bold spotting.

                                Expect spotted and red standards with mahogany petals.

                                Registered as China Moon.

                                Expect flowers up to 10cm in size, yellow in colour with some fine

                                spotting.  Petals are the predominant feature in the flower.

                                Brunawhirl x Super Trooper registered as Flying Troop.

                                Hama Chilwin is a red standard having a white edge with red in the centre of

                                the dorsal.  Mahogany petals and labellum.  ‘Papa Aroha’ is a red standard

                                type with excellent form and very wide petals but its red colour in the dorsal

                                is not as intense.  Expecting very good red standards.
