A yellow/ green pure colour intermediate has been combined with a feathered brown intermediate with a red barred labellum. There could be a possibility that some of the progeny could be spotted. Slightly difficult to predict the predominate colours of this cross as not sure which parent will dominate. Intermediate for July. Flowered one of the progeny and it has turned out white.

DREAM ON 'PURITY' X ALBERT BROWN 'BRIGHT YELLOW'

Purity' is a good shaped, cream standard, with a nearly concolour labellum. 'Bright Yellow' has been combined, to add colour to the progeny and still retain the good shape. Albert Brown has genes from Wallara and Coraki. Dream On is Culpaulin with Wallara. 50% of the genes will be from Wallara 'Gold Nugget'.  August / September flowering, yellow standards with red barring and spots on the labellum .

Dream On 'Purity' x Alexandra Beauty 'Day Dawn'

A,B

430

Both parents in this cross could be considered close to concolour types in that they have very little red colour in the labellum. They are not pure colours for they have some red spotting on the column. 'Purity' could be considered a cream colour and 'Day Dawn' is in the yellow shades. Expect yellow, concolour types, standard in size, for August.

Ice green to green, pure colour standards expected. Dream Temple was used to produce the Albryant cross which I consider is one of our best pure colour standards, although a different grex of Dream Temple was used. August/September flowering.

A,B

435.1

I read an article on cattleyas and if you breed a bright yellow without any red background with a purple colour then there is a chance of getting lilac shades. I am trying this combination in cymbidiums here but my experience tells me the yellow pure colour of 'Pure Gold' will enhance the purple colour of 'Becky'. Hoping for that one in a million chance of getting a blue shade. Standards for August in the purple shades with red barred labellums.
