I read an article on cattleyas and if you breed a bright yellow without any red background with a purple colour then there is a chance of getting lilac shades. I am trying this combination in cymbidiums here but my experience tells me the yellow pure colour of 'Pure Gold' will enhance the purple colour of 'Becky'.
