Red Globe' was the best shaped of the Rumours cross. A small standard in size but very round and red. 'Two Tone' is a standard of orange/ brown tones, with also reasonably good shape. Expect orange shades and some reds with good round shape and standard in size. September flowering.

An old orchid that has been recloned due to its unusual colouration. The background is yellow with a red line down the centre of the sepals and petals. Labellum is edged with a deep pink with darker spots and bars occurring in the pink edge.

Alex' is an eye catching orchid that is a chocolate brown colour with a solid red, barred labellum. Small standard in size. 'Landsdale' is a yellow standard with good production. Delight' is a September flowering, non staining yellow/green, with up to 20 blooms per raceme. Good shape with a concolour labellum and a pretty, soft blush pink edge. 'Elan' has lots of Coraki genes and will add more yellow colour to the progeny. Standards for September.

A novelty type hybrid to produce some unusual colours. Coral has a yellow background and is striped with red with a dark red, barred labellum. It has Robin 'Little John' in the background. I have seen progeny from 'Gruesome' which is a purplish colour which can be broken into spots with the correct parent. This cross has the potential to produce spotted and striped flowers in various shades of colours. A triploid cross to produce standards with a flowering time of September.

Coratea 'Rewa' is a cross of Coraki and Tamatea. It carries a pure colour gene. Crossed with Golden Cascade (lowianum x Sleeping Beauty) a yellow pure colour, one would expect a reasonable percentage of pure colours to occur. 'Rewa' should add shape for it is a very round, filled in flower. Some of the progeny will have the red barred labellum that 'Rewa' will pass on. August flowering standards.

A novetly cross made for colour. 'Molten Lava' is a combination of orange and red. Robin 'Little John' tends to take on the colour of the other parent. Darch Annabella has parents of John Jansma and Golden Anniversary. The best of the Darch Annabella cross have been the green standards although the parents are brown and yellow in colour. Golden Anniversary has Lunara and Tongariro parentage. Both sides have a background of at least one green grand parent. Crossed with a yellow standard one would expect yellow and green standards with a red barred labellum. August / September flowering.

Darch Gillian comes from Katie's Dream and Wondrous. 'Saturday Best' is an intermediate with very round and full shape, being white with a pink overlay. Magic Elf and Lone Star are the parents of Iceburg. A white intermediate with also very full and round shape. Expect whites and whites with a pink blush, intermediate in size. July / August flowering.

Khan Flame and Sylvan Star make Mem Joan Bryant. Uncle Dickie and Pink Globe are the parents of Darch Glory. 'Dark Lip' has good shape and has broad segments. Colour is a mid pink with a red spotted labellum. The Mem Joan Bryant is a softer pink with a red edged labellum which is a little small in comparison to the size of the flower. Hoping 'Dark Lip' will overcome this problem. Expecting some good pink standards to come from this cross. August flowering.

Darch Goshawk is John Jansma and Chocolada. A green standard was produced for there are green genes in the ancestry. 'Green Grub' looks a little like Jubilation 'Geronimo' but is more green. Standard in size with a labellum which has a pink edge then a red band. White in the centre of the labellum with a red column and a white pollen cap. August flowering.

The background green genes come from Zumma Boyd. Valley Zenith is from Miretta and Zumma Boyd. Good, standard greens expected with a red barred labellum. August / September flowering.

This cross was made to produce late flowering, standard cymbidiums. Dingwall 'Lewes' is one of our last cymbidiums to flower for us. A standard white with reasonable shape. Alegria will often take on the flowering time of the other parent. Expect some pink and white standards flowering late in the season with broad, attractive, spotted labellums.
