This cross was made to produce standards which are white with a pink edge or pink on the tip of the petals and sepals. We have seen one of the progeny do this. Labellums have been white with a pink blush and no spotting to those having a pink blush with an edge of red spots. Mid season flowering.

We are seeing some good progeny from Anne Rogers. 'Tweed' is an intermediate white with dark blotches in the labellum due to the Cym parishii influence. Barb is a cross of Alegria and Winter Wonder. It is a large white with a spotted labellum. Expect intermediate, whites with heavily, spotted labellums for July.

Attractive Eyes' was named for the eye catching labellum. 'Icicle' does not have much colour in the labellum. The two orchids have been combined to correct each others downfalls. 'Icicle' has produced many great, white standard cymbidiums. In the background of Barb is genes for Winter Wonder. Expect good, white standards flowering around July / August.

I have not seen any of 'The Ghost' progeny and are therefore not aware of it's dominating characteristics when used. 'The Ghost' has a nearly, pure white labellum and is not a pure colour carrier. Expect some concolour yellow and cream flowers that will be intermediate in size with good round shape.August flowering.

This cross has been registered as Darch Jabiru. We have seen some wonderful progeny produced. Some have been used in our breeding program and others have been marked for cloning. Colours have ranged from yellow throught to bright green with a bright red barred labellum. One of the yellows turned out nearly a concolour type with very little red markings on the labellum. August flowering.

Bedrock 'Laughter' x Dr Stanley Parkinson 'Yvette'

Bedrock is Pebbles with Matipo. A strong influence of Rincon genes for it is a grand parent on both sides. 'Laughter' is a white standard with a green tinge, with the Solana Beach 'St Francis' markings on the petals and a Rincon. red spotted labellum. The red spotting goes around the whole edge of the labellum. Crossed with the deep pink, good shaped 'Yvette' one will get good shaped pink standards with an early flowering time from May. The Rincon style labellum should also dominate.

This clone is for the collector who likes long, pendulous racemes. The plant won Champion Cymbidium in a big Perth show in 2005 when up against about 300 cymbidium plants. Not quite a pure colour green for it has a little bit of spotting on the inside of the column. Intermediate in size with over 50 flowers on a raceme when mature and a flowering time of August / September.

Crazy Man' does not look like a cymbidium. It is for those growers that like the unusual. It comes from the parents of Canterbury and devonianum. Canterbury has Cym canaliculatum as a grand parent. Flower is spotted all over including the labellum. Flower segements are narrow. Long racemes with many miniature flowers that tend to be pendulous or aching. September flowering.
